Refunds and Returns

Refunds and returns

Exchanges within 14 days. Returns within 28 days. Faulty items always.

Buying cricket gear online means judging weight, pick-up and fit from a photograph. Sometimes it is not right when it arrives. This page sets out exactly what happens then.

The short version

  • Exchanges — 14 days. Wrong size or wrong model? Swap it within 14 days of delivery.
  • Returns and refunds — 28 days. Changed your mind? Send it back within 28 days of delivery for a refund.
  • Faulty items — 30 days for a full refund, and longer for a repair or replacement. This is your legal right and nothing here reduces it.
  • Goods must come back unused and in their original packaging, with any tags and covers.

Exchanges — 14 days

If a bat is the wrong size, a glove does not fit, or you have simply picked the wrong model, contact us within 14 days of delivery and we will exchange it. Send the item back unused and we will send the replacement out as soon as it arrives with us.

If the replacement costs more, we will invoice the difference. If it costs less, we refund the difference to your original payment method.

Returns and refunds — 28 days

You can return most items within 28 days of delivery for a refund, for any reason. The item must be unused, in resalable condition, and in its original packaging with any covers, tags and anti-scuff sheets still attached.

Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 14 days of the item reaching us.

Your legal right to cancel

Separately from the policy above, UK law gives you 14 days from the day you receive your order to cancel it, and a further 14 days to send the goods back. Our 28-day window is longer than that minimum, and offering it does not affect your statutory rights.

Faulty or damaged items

If something arrives damaged or develops a fault, contact us with photographs and your order number.

  • Within 30 days: you are entitled to a full refund.
  • Within 6 months: we will repair or replace it. If that is not possible, you get a refund.
  • After 6 months: get in touch anyway. Manufacturing faults are covered beyond this and we will assess each case with the manufacturer.

We pay return postage on anything faulty.

A note about cricket bats

Cricket bats are consumable items. Surface cracking on the edges and toe, and small indentations in the face, are normal wear from use — not manufacturing faults, and not grounds for a refund. Every bat we sell is pressed and pre-knocked, but the edges and toe still need further mallet work before facing a hard ball, and damage caused by skipping that is not covered.

A bat that has been oiled, knocked in further, taped, stickered or used in a net or a match cannot be returned as a change of mind. If you want to check the weight and pick-up, do it indoors before you do anything else to it.

Structural failures — a handle splitting, the splice separating, the blade breaking apart — are a different matter. Contact us with photographs and we will assess it.

What we cannot take back

  • Items that have been used, worn or knocked in
  • Abdominal guards, briefs, socks and inner gloves, once the packaging is opened, for hygiene reasons
  • Anything made or customised to your specification
  • Items returned without their original packaging, or in a condition we cannot resell

If an item comes back showing more handling than was needed to check it, we may reduce the refund to reflect the loss in value. None of this affects your rights over faulty goods.

How to return something

  1. Contact us with your order number and what you would like to do — exchange or refund.
  2. We will reply with a return address and a reference to put in the parcel.
  3. Pack the item in its original packaging and send it with a tracked service.
  4. We will email you when it arrives and process the exchange or refund.

Please do not send anything back before contacting us — unannounced returns are easy to lose and slow to process.

Return postage

You cover return postage on a change of mind or an exchange. We cover it when an item is faulty, damaged, or not what you ordered.

Get proof of postage. Until a parcel reaches us it is your responsibility, and a bat is not a cheap thing to lose in the post.
